École Polytechnique welcomes applications from all over the world. Entry requirements can vary between degree programs, so you will need to visit the website and select the program you are interested in applying to for further information.

Candidates are selected on their strong academic background, especially in mathematics and science. École Polytechnique also values exemplary, extensive achievement in any intellectual or creative endeavor. This includes accomplishments in extracurricular activities such as performing arts or athletics, scientific competitions, internships, leadership in your school or community, volunteering, etc.
