The University of Queensland


The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of the finest teaching and research institutions in Australia. It is part of both Go8 (Group of Eight universities in Australia) and is also a member of Universitas 21. Currently, home to over 50,000 students hailing from 134 countries, The University of Queensland ranks #47 in the world, according to QS World University Rankings, 2022. 

More than 550 programs on all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. are offered to students planning to apply for admission to The University of Queensland. MBA applications at the university close on April 30 for the July intake and October 31 for the February intake. The cost of pursuing these courses at UQ ranges from 19,000 to 44,000 AUD a year. Applications to admissions to The University of Queensland can not only be made through online portals but also through UQ-approved agents. Students can apply through the online application for admission. The students belonging to Australia and/or pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma can apply through QTAC Application.

The University of Queensland Application Deadlines

For some of the programs, the university considers applications up to two years in advance. However, the application deadlines for most programs are semester-based. These are:

  • Semester 1: November 30 (February Intake)
  • Semester 2: May 31 (July Intake)
