About Universit Paris-Saclay
Paris-Saclay University , created on January 1st, 2020, brings together in anew university the academic components of former Université Paris-Sud, four"grandes écoles" (CentraleSupélec, AgroParisTech, ENS Paris-Saclayand IOGS), and a research institute (IHES). Two universities, the University ofVersailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the University of Evry-Val d'Essonne,are associated with the project as part of a plan to merge with theParis-Saclay University by 2025, and six national research organizations (CNRS,CEA, INRAE, INRIA, INSERM, ONERA) join in within a strengthened partnership.
CentraleSupélec (CS) is aFrench institute of research and higher education in engineering and science.It was established on 1 January 2015 as a result of a strategic merger betweentwo leading grandes écoles in France, Ecole Centrale Paris and Supélec to formone of the most prestigious and selective grandes écoles. It is a key foundingmember of the University of Paris-Saclay, the T.I.M.E. (Top Industrial Managersfor Europe) network and also the CESAER association of European engineeringschools. The institution delivers the CS engineering degree, masters and PhDs.
AgroParisTech is a higher education and researchinstitute (“Grande Ecole”) aiming at addressing some of the main globalchallenges of the 21st century : feeding a growing population while sustainablymanaging territories, preserving natural resources, supporting innovation andintegrating the bioeconomy.
The Ecole normale supérieure Paris-Saclay , a prestigious public institution of highereducation and research founded in 1912, is one of the major French GrandesÉcoles, which are considered the pinnacle of French higher education. With itsmultidisciplinary departments and their associated research laboratories, theENS Paris-Saclay provides its students with a high-level cultural andscientific training. The four years of study at the ENS Paris-Saclay areorganised in agreement with classic European university curricula (BA/BSc andMaster's degrees) along with complementary training and some specific courses.
The Institut d’Optique aims to bring together in one single institution all activities relatedto photonics: research, higher education and training, innovation, businesscreation, consulting and technology transfer. It is the first Western traininginstitution at this level in physical sciences for optics and photonics.Graduates become engineers, researchers or managers in many fields. The technologiesthey develop are at the heart of major technological revolutions and impactmany areas of our society: aeronautics and space, energy and sustainabledevelopment, optical and digital technologies of information (signals, data andimages), defense and security, transport, telecommunications, biosciences andhealth...

FACILITIES
Université Paris-Saclay offers several facilities to welcome its foreign students through the international welcome desk.
Through the GATE Welcome Desk for International Talents (Guichet d’Accueil des Talents Étrangers) you can carry out, in a single location, all the necessary administrative procedures for your move and stay in France.
Discover also the Buddy Programme. It is a free mentoring programme for international students who have recently arrived in France for their studies. Thanks to the programme, each international student is matched with a local student, who can support him/her in his/her administrative procedures, show him/her around, share local tips for students and have him/her discover the French way of living.
Student life
Campus life is very developed. There are several sports fields, cafeterias, student associations, many libraries. You will find everything you need on campus.
Université Paris-Saclay offers a wide range of cultural activities and sports to its students: theatre, dance, music, writing, photography... Nearly 40 activities are accessible, most of the time free of charge, to students throughout the academic year.
Also, you could find over 80 different sports activities on offer and various student sports clubs at Université Paris-Saclay. The sports activities you choose can form part of your course or you can simply choose to do sport in your free time. Various tournaments, competitions, courses, outings and trips away are also organized throughout the year.
