  • The university has also arranged an Emergency student support fund which provides financial support up to £500 (per applicant). This is for those students who are facing unanticipated financial challenges (more than 700 students have received help through this fund.

  • When the university was started it had only 3 buildings, 230 students and 28 staff (October 1963).
  • The University of York Campus consists of nine colleges, more than 30 research centers and academic departments.
  • Now the campus is about 500 acres (200 hectares).

  • Shared bathroom has a wash basin and is shared with a flat. They are cleaned every weekday.
